Chief of the Malaysian Armed Forces Visits RSS Singapura – Changi Naval Base

We welcomed the Chief of the Malaysian Armed Forces (Markas Angkatan Tentera Malaysia), General (GEN) Tan Sri Dato' Sri Haji Affendi bin Buang to RSS Singapura – Changi Naval Base as part of his introductory visit to Singapore today.
GEN Affendi visited the Information Fusion Centre where he met RSN officers and International Liaison Officers (ILOs) working together to facilitate information sharing, and to strengthen regional maritime security. He also visited our Formidable-class frigate RSS Supreme where we shared about how the frigates, equipped for multi-dimensional threats, are deployed far and wide for operations and exercises with other navies.

GEN Affendi meets the current Malaysian ILO at IFC. Since its inauguration, the number of ILOs deployed at IFC has grown.
