Today, our navy had a different kind of change-of-command ceremony - one that was conducted virtually - where Commander Maritime Training and Doctrine Command (MTDC) COL Douglas Goh handed over the reins to COL Ong Chee Wei.
As Commander MTDC, COL Goh led and oversaw the review of the navy’s training curriculum and roadmap, and ensured that our schoolhouses continue to produce #ReadyRelevantAndResponsive sailors for the navy’s operations.
While he demanded high professional standards and strived to bring out the best from those under his command, COL Goh also cared deeply for his people and paid close attention to their personal well-being.
We thank COL Goh for his many years of contribution in the navy, and wish him the very best for his future endeavours. Fair Winds & Following Seas, Sir!
