Our Chief of Navy Rear Admiral (RADM) Sean Wat met with Commander Lithuanian Navy RADM Giedrius Premeneckas at the Lithuanian Navy's Headquarters in Klaipėda, Lithuania. He was accompanied by Director RSN Shipbuilding Group COL Tan Say Yong and Master Chief Navy ME6 Richard Goh.

RADM Wat and RADM Premeneckas discussed areas of mutual cooperation between the RSN and Lithuanian Navy.

RADM Wat, accompanied by RADM Premeneckas, visited the Klaipėda harbour which is adjacent to the Lithuanian Naval Base. He was briefed about the infrastructure and berthing facilities for commercial ships and the Lithuanian Navy's ships.

RADM Wat also visited the Lithuanian Navy's warships and was briefed about their capabilities.
RADM Wat is in Lithuania to attend the Keel-Laying ceremony for the RSN's Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs) which will be conducted next week. Our OPVs are designed by Fassmer, and built in Lithuania and Germany.
