Responsibilities
As a Naval Officer, you will be groomed to take command of our Navy’s sophisticated submarines, warships and naval aircraft, while leading men and women of our Navy family to fulfil their duty of defending Singapore. Being a naval strategist, you will lead your people during troubled times to victory at sea, and during times of peace, use your diplomatic skills to expand Singapore’s policy spaces and defend our way of life.

Starting Salary
Monthly salary for Officer Cadet, 2nd Lieutenant, and Lieutenant by qualification level.

Officer Scheme
Savings and Employee Retirement (SAVER) Plan
Full CPF Contributions - In accordance with the prevailing national CPF contributions rates, both your employer and employee contributions will be directed to your CPF accounts.
SAVER Account - MINDEF contributes a flat rate of 15% to your SAVER Account from your first year in service until your SAVER end date at age 44. This will help you build up a larger financial reserve for your transition to a second career after retiring from the SAF.
SAVER Bonuses - Receives SAVER Bonuses at ages 25, 28, 31 and 34 to better support milestone expenditures.
Flex Benefits
An annual lump sum allowance will be disbursed to you so that you have the flexibility in using the money as and when you need it.
