Sentinel-class Maritime Security and Response Vessels
Providing calibrated options against maritime threats

Creating greater persistence at sea
The Sentinel-class Maritime Security and Response Vessels provide more calibrated options to respond to maritime incidents and offer greater persistence to protect Singapore's territorial waters. These vessels create flexibility for the Singapore government and Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) to meet the increased demands from maritime security threats that have grown in scale and complexity.

Size and Capacity
These nimble vessels bear red "racing" stripes on their bow, in line with other international maritime security agencies.
Length: 55 metres
Beam: 8.6 metres
Displacement: 525 tonnes
Crew: 30
Manoeuvrability
In patrolling the Singapore Strait, speed is important for fast response.
Speed: In excess of 20 knots
Range: Over 1,800 nautical miles
Weapons and Capabilities
Installed with a range of calibrated capabilities, these refurbished ex-Fearless-class patrol vessels will be operated by the Maritime Security and Response Flotilla as a start, while new purpose-built vessels are being built.

Bedok-class Mine Countermeasure Vessel
Search. Hunt. Destroy. Mines do not stand a chance

Keeping waters safe in our wake
Sea mines are insidious weapons — they can lie in wait underwater for years before exploding, and are incredibly tough to neutralise once active. It takes a hard-hitting mine countermeasure vessel (MCMVs) to deal with them.
Specifications of Bedok-class Mine Countermeasure Vessel
Size and Capacity
Smaller than the behemoth shipping vessels that churn through Singapore’s narrow straits, the Bedok-class mine countermeasure vessels can manoeuvre around larger ships to keep the seabed clear of mine threats and obstacles.
Length: 47.5 metres
Beam: 9.6 metres
Displacement: 360 tonnes
Crew: 32
Manoeuvrability
These mine countermeasure vessels are built for mobility to better tackle their underwater foes — it is able to do a 360-degree turn on its axis.
Speed: In excess of 15 knots
Range: 2,000 nautical miles
Weapons and Capabilities
Odd but true: our MCMVs' hulls are made from a special form of glass – fibreglass. Why? This lowers the acoustic and magnetic signature of the vessel, lowering the risk that it will trigger a mine.

Specifications of Endurance-class Landing Ship Tank
Size and Capacity
In 2000, RSS Endurance was the first ship in the RSN to circumnavigate the globe in four months. Not only was this the longest and furthest any RSN vessel had sailed, RSS Endurance did so battling rough seas and seven-metre-high waves. But thanks to its weighty design, it came through with flying colours.
Length: 141 metres
Beam: 21 metres
Displacement: 6,000 tonnes
Crew: 81
Manoeuvrability
Though not the speediest craft, it is among the steadiest, able to motor on even through the roughest of seas.
Speed: In excess of 15 knots
Range: 5,000 nautical miles
Weapons and Capabilities
Just because she’s big and bulky doesn’t mean she can’t handle herself. The Landing Ships Tank also comes with a complement of armaments.
